Streetsville Spring Classic – Top 10

The Tournament – Streetsville Spring Classic

Streetsville Spring Classic tournament was held in Streetsville, Mississauga over the end of the March break. ‘The village in the city’ is one of my favourite places to photograph because of the strong community vibe that can be felt, which is especially strong at the Vic Johnston Memorial Centre. As always, John Culleton and his crew of volunteers did an excellent job organizing and running the event.

The Image of the Week

Here is the Streetsville Spring Classic Image of the Week. I went with a goalie theme for the Top 10 this week and chose this image as the best one because it makes me laugh. I love that my Canon 5D Mark III stops all the action and where it stopped it this time is hilarious.

The Settings

I have a tricky time getting a consistent exposure at the Vic Johnston arena. The lights are different colour temperatures and intensities, so I tried to compensate as best I could by changing my shutter speed on the fly when necessary. This image was shot at f2.8, 1/1600, and ISO 8000.

Top 10

Here are the remaining images that made it to the Top 10 from the Streetsville Spring Classic.
