The Tournament – Kevin Wrobel Memorial

The Kevin Wrobel Memorial tournament was held at the recreation centre in West Lorne, ON. The tournament was host to four Novice teams and four Atom teams from the surrounding area. A special thanks to Karen Booth and all the volunteers for making the weekend event run smoothly.

The Image

Here is the Kevin Wrobel Memorial Image of the Week. I just think this image is so cute. Often I photograph the games from the penalty box so I’m far enough away from the bench to be able to capture these moments. I can’t hear what the coaches are saying, but I do love to watch the watering and pep talks with the goalie in between periods.

The Settings

The West Lorne Recreation Centre is really well lit. I had the perfect vantage point from the penalty box at centre ice and with all the light, was able to play with my settings freely. This image was shot at f2.8, 1/800, and ISO 5000.
