West Lorne Minor Hockey House League Tournament

The 34rd Annual Black & Gold Tournament was held by the West Lorne Minor Hockey Association in West Lorne, Ontario on November 17-19, 2017. The tournament was host to twelve teams from the Novice and Atom House League divisions.

Hockey tournaments in West Lorne are incredibly well run. Thanks to the efforts of the West Elgin Arena staff, the Tournament Committee, the volunteers, and the donations from local businesses and community members, the tournament was a complete success and has been for over thirty years. Here’s what the organizers had to say about the tournament: “We are very excited to welcome twelve Novice and Atom teams to our community. We have worked hard to create an atmosphere of friendly, fun, and exciting hockey. There are many special extras planned including a pizza party for each team, awards, and activities for kids and parents to enjoy between games. We are dedicated to making our venue a memorable event with great sportsmanship and healthy competition.”

The West Lorne Minor Hockey Association is in need of volunteers for their community events. Events like the House League tournament are not possible without the support of generous volunteers. If you live in the West Lorne area and would like to give your time to help kids in the community play sports and have fun, contact one of the board members here.
