Revkor: A New Type of Fitness Class in London Ontario


Are you ready to hit the bands? There’s a new type of fitness class in London, Ontario and you’ll find it at RevkorTM in Old East Village. The RevkorTM workout “incorporates suspension-based resistance training with a range of movements inspired by yoga, functional fitness, and interval training” for all fitness levels.

Founded and created in Canada by Angela Rivard and Erin Moraghan, RevkorTM franchised in 2015 and now has six locations in Ontario as well as one in Saskatchewan. Pretty impressive considering the workout started in Angela’s basement. “I was juggling parenthood and career, trying to think of results-driven ways to squeeze in workouts with a hectic schedule (like all of us!).  I rigged up a single resistance band in my basement and developed an original workout that was delivering huge results and making my inventors’ wheels turn. I founded FLXyoga, a little studio in London, Ontario, featuring unique suspension systems of my own invention and a single yoga-inspired class.”

The RevkorTM experience has evolved from FLXyoga by dropping yoga from the name, moving in the strong fitness direction, and rebranding as RevkorTM.

RevkorTM offers a “robust schedule of body-changing, empowering group fitness classes,” for all fitness levels. The three class types include:

Strength + Stability: recommended for first-time Revvers featuring “slow, controlled movements inspired by strength training and yoga, delivered with our signature edge.”

High Intensity: for the Revver that wants to amp it up, featuring plyometrics, strength training, and intense cardio.

Elite Power: designed for advanced Revvers that like to “lift heavier, build muscular endurance, and test their strength,” this class uses the KorboardTM to challenge your body with 5 points of resistance.
