Ottawa Valley native Julie Whelan began her photography career in the late 90's, and has since been published in several Ottawa Newspapers and Guide & Travel magazines. 
Since 2006, her love of travel and photography has led her on expeditions across Eastern Africa, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia and most recently, Spain, France, The Netherlands, England and Ireland, to add more images to an already extensive portfolio from across Canada and the U.S.  A selection of her images from various exhibitions and expeditions are displayed on this website.   
Although travel photography is her passion, she is no stranger to commercial work.  In 2007, Julie left her position as head photographer for a company in Calgary that specializes in product and marketing images to complete a seven month contract as a photographer with Princess Cruises.  This adventure led her all over the Pacific Ocean to places such as Alaska, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands.  
She is currently working as an Interior and Architectural Photographer in Ontario.  Her clients include Sands on Golden Lake, Nortel, Parks Canada and Various Ottawa and Toronto Real Estate and Contracting Companies.
